TLC VoxBox
I was kind of disappointed in this most recent VoxBox from Influenster. They're usually very good at putting together useful product boxes that match the recipient. The TLC box seemed kind of like an afterthought and not very well thought out. Let's look at the products in this box.
Avon Anew Reversalist Wrinkle Smoother - I've never been a big fan of Avon products. This product did not change my opinion. The texture of the product is awkward. I couldn't tell if it was a gel, powder or creme. The directions state to pat the product on with your fingers. I'm not accustom to applying facial products with my fingers so that struck me as odd. I applied the product as directed and I didn't notice any difference in my skin. I don't have deep wrinkles so I thought this product would work well for me. Not the case. This just seemed like a waste of time in the cosmetic process.
Puffs Plus with lotion - There's not a lot to say about this product. It's a purse sized pack of tissues that we've all used a hundred times. They're tissues. They do the job they're intended to do. Not much more to add.
Neo to Go - Probably a good idea for parents of little kids. I can't think of the last time I needed to use Neosporin. Certainly not since a purse-spray version was available. It seems convenient enough but I'm not sure I will need to use it before the expiration date.
Breyer's Gelato Indulgences - (Coupon) A smooth-tasting dessert with several flavor varieties. Breyer's never disappoints and this product doesn't either. It's definitely worth trying and if you do it will be a continued indulgence for you.
Ivory bar soap - Really, Influenster? Last month, subscribers were sent boxes of Mary Kay cosmetics. This box has Ivory bar soap it it? Really? My grandmother swore by Ivory soap when I was a child, 40 years ago. I used it at her house when I'd take baths. It is an extremely drying product with a very strong smell. I have eczema and Ivory is the most drying product I've used. I won't get any use out of this product.
Shell Fuel Rewards Network Card - At first I thought this was a gift card. Nope. It's a card you use to collect pennies off gas purchases. Much like a Walgreen's Balance Rewards card except not as lucrative. You can get this card at any Shell station so don't think you missed out on much by not getting this box. I don't know if I've ever bought gas at Shell because it's not convenient to my home and the prices are high.
So, there you have it. The TLC VoxBox was pretty much a disappointment. I've had such great boxes in the past and I know Influenster will send great boxes in the future. This one was just not one of them.
